Harvey Norman’s Corporate Office, located in Homebush West, is searching for a technically competent, enthusiastic and motivated individual to be an integral part of the accounting team. This role encompasses treasury accounting and incorporates other responsibilities. The ideal candidate will liaise with internal stakeholders, representatives of the ANZ bank, External Auditors, Share Registry and Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) representatives.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare daily cash flow forecasts
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Syndicated bank funding facility
  • Monthly Bank interest reconciliations
  • Monthly onthly preparation of various HNHL controlled entities’ cash books and bank reconciliations
  • Daily preparation and transmission of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments via ANZ Transactive Global platform
  • Overseas Cash Advances and the reconciliation of the Petty Cash Overseas Float
  • Preparation of ABS surveys
  • Reporting of the controlled entities’ foreign exchange (FX) exposures
  • Assist the financial reporting team during peak reporting seasons (December half-year) and (June full year) in the preparation of supporting work papers to the consolidated financial statements and note disclosures
  • Assist in franchisee financial accommodation requests

About You
To be successful in this position, you will possess the following:

  • A Commerce or Business Degree (or equivalent) with a major in Accounting
  • Solid relevant work experience in a medium to large organisation (minimum 3-5 years)
  • Completion of CPA or CA qualification
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong job ownership and self-motivation skills
  • Superior IT & excel skills
  • Experience with SAP ideal but not essential
