About the role  

Harvey Norman is a leading retail and property business, where property operations support and enhance our national retail network. With Harvey Norman and our associated brands operating across 196 stores nationally and a property portfolio valued in excess of 4 billion dollars, we offer a diverse and challenging environment for facilities professionals.

Based on site at the Corporate Homebush West Office, this role will be responsible for the operational management of an assigned portfolio of properties across Australia, ensuring assets are maintained, compliant and operating efficiently to support retail performance.

This role will involve national travel on a reasonably frequent basis to attend site inspections and stakeholder meetings.

You will; 

  • Deliver effective, customer focused facilities management services across a diverse property portfolio.
  • Manage operating budgets and oversee supplier performance to achieve value for money outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key contractors, landlords, agents and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive contractor compliance, performance and accountability through a structured contractor management framework, safe systems of work ensuring quality outcomes.
  • Utilise CMMS platforms to manage work orders, planned and reactive maintenance, asset registers and compliance records.
  • Devise and continually refine preventative maintenance programmes to ensure asset reliability and operational continuity.
  • Ensure adherence to state and national compliance obligations, including workplace health and safety and fire safety requirements, supported by accurate system records.
  • Identify, assess and present capital expenditure requirements, including preparation of business cases informed by asset condition data.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of systems, processes and reporting, including optimisation of CMMS tools.

About you  

You will have experience in facilities management, managing multiple sites remotely, and demonstrate a strong work ethic and customer‑focused approach to ensure optimal service delivery.

You will also have: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and collaborative approach.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety, building compliance and applicable legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience using CMMS or facilities management systems for maintenance, compliance and asset management.
  • A valid Australian driver’s licence and the ability to travel across as required.
