About the role
Based in Adelaide and reporting to the Corporate Compliance Officer, you will partner with franchise business owners and retail teams to strengthen compliance standards, mitigate risk, and promote best-practice store operations. This field-based role covers South Australia, Northern Territory, Tasmania, and parts of Western Victoria, where you will conduct trade practices compliance reviews, WHS assessments, and deliver compliance training to drive continuous improvement.
This role involves extensive travel across multiple states and territories.
You will;
- Conduct regular compliance reviews across retail stores within your region to assess and support compliance with trade practice requirements.
- Observe sales and customer service processes and provide recommendations to support compliance best practices.
- Provide practical recommendations and action plans to help stores improve compliance standards.
- Review store performance and identify opportunities to strengthen compliance with consumer laws and company policies.
- Share feedback on compliance issues and trends within your region with the Corporate Compliance Team.
- Assist in developing tools and resources to support compliance improvements across the network.
- Create and update training materials to support the Compliance Program.
About You
You are a confident and approachable professional with experience in large-format retail environments and a passion for training and developing others. Prior experience and proven successes in training will be beneficial.
You possess a solid understanding of retail operations, with knowledge of Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements being highly regarded.
You will also;
- Hold a driver’s license with a good driving history.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence positive outcomes across diverse retail teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records.
