About the role   

Reporting to the Projects Delivery Manager and based onsite at our Silverwater Corporate Office, you will lead the planning, coordination and execution of IT Security and Infrastructure projects in line with the Harvey Norman IT Project Delivery Framework. 

 You will;  

  • Manage multiple streams of Information Security & infrastructure related projects from end to end.  
  • Provide leadership across multiple information security projects, including coordination with internal staff and multiple external vendors.  
  • Be the primary point of coordination between the business, IT, various technology work streams, and the external suppliers. 
  • Provide resource and budget plans to complete the project on time and within budget. 
  • Manage schedule, risks and issues using Harvey Norman standard project management tools.  
  • Provide regular reporting at appropriate intervals to multiple levels in the organization.  
  • Work with the Head of Information Security in the delivery of the business cases required to deliver the recommended solution.  
  • Adhere to Project Management methods & standards. 
  • Ensure projects have the associated vendor & contractual management in place (in conjunction with Procurement).  
  • Coordinate and report on the project / program, monitoring dependencies and the critical path to maintain an achievable timeframe, reporting any issues that require escalation or attention.  
  • Liaise with stakeholders, senior management and internal departments as appropriate on a regular basis.  
  • Attend and present status at weekly and monthly forums.  
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and support delivery outcomes.  

About you   

You will have proven experience in a Technology Project Manager role, preferably complemented by tertiary studies in IT, business, or a related field. You will be comfortable operating in a structured delivery environment with familiarity across waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies. 

You will also have; 

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT Project Management of medium to large sizes (>$1M; 6-24 months).  
  • Prior experience in project managing Infrastructure & Information Security programs/projects.  
  • An understanding of Infrastructure & Information systems, Security principles and products. 
  • Overall awareness of security technologies such as: Next Gen Anti malware, mail security gateway, web security gateway, DLP, firewall, SEIM solutions, IDS/IPS systems, and other cyber-security enterprise solutions.  
  • Proven vendor management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams with a diverse range of skills and styles.  
  • Proven ability to manage large complex projects with multiple work streams.  
  • Strong understanding and application of Project Management competencies including scope, time, costs and quality.  
  • Effective leadership, coordination, negotiation and dispute resolution skills.  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people from technical, business and senior managerial backgrounds, including the ability to translate technical information into business language.  
  • Financial literacy to forecast and manage project budgets.  
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office tools particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.  
  • Experience with developing migration strategies for re-platforming or remediating applications.  
  • Excellent communication skills.
