About the Role
Reporting to the Program Manager and based in Homebush, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a large-scale digital transformation, supporting the implementation of a new HR and Payroll system across Australia and New Zealand.
You will be responsible for ensuring payroll calculations, system configurations, and processes are accurately tested and validated prior to go-live.
Initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.
You will;
- Execute payroll test scenarios and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Conduct parallel payroll runs by comparing legacy system pay outcomes with Dayforce results
- Identify and log defects and issues in Jira
- Validate employee and payroll data during migration activities
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, including PAYG, Superannuation, and STP
- Review Dayforce award interpretations and Workforce Management (WFM) configurations
- Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with Payroll, HR, IT, vendors, and implementation teams to resolve issues
- Prepare test reports and communicate testing outcomes to stakeholders
- Assist with user guide development, training, and knowledge transfer to payroll teams
About you
You are an experienced Payroll Testing Analyst or Payroll SME with hands-on experience supporting Dayforce implementations and running payroll parallel testing. With a strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, award interpretation, and payroll processes, you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for identifying and resolving system and data issues.
You will have;
- Experience working with complex systems and platforms
- Strong testing management skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, manage vendors, and oversee testing and quality outcomes against agreed KPIs and deliverables
- The ability to remain hands-on when required while driving testing activities to successful completion
- Strong experience preparing and communicating test summary reports and project status updates
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
