As Australia’s largest retailer of lifestyle products, with nearly 300 stores worldwide, Harvey Norman® has been a part of almost every Australian’s shopping experience. About the role

Reporting to the Digital Delivery Manager and based onsite at our Homebush Corporate Office, we're looking for a Digital Product Owner to join our IT Digital team and drive the delivery of customer-focused features and enhancements across one of Australia's largest eCommerce platforms.

This is a hands-on product role for someone who loves turning ideas into reality. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, stakeholders and business leaders to define product direction, prioritise opportunities, and deliver features that create measurable customer and commercial value.

You will;

  • Own and manage the product backlog for a dedicated development squad delivering enhancements across our eCommerce ecosystem.

  • Work closely with engineers, designers and stakeholders to define solutions and deliver features from concept through to release.

  • Write and refine user stories, acceptance criteria and product requirements that enable efficient delivery.

  • Use data, analytics, customer insights and experimentation to drive product decisions and prioritisation.

  • Actively leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to improve product discovery, requirements definition, stakeholder communication, analysis and delivery effectiveness.

  • Make informed trade-off decisions, balancing customer value, technical complexity, commercial impact and delivery timelines.

  • Collaborate daily with your Scrum team to unblock issues, clarify requirements and maximise delivery momentum.

  • Build strong and trusted relationships across technology, UX, marketing, merchandising and business stakeholders.

About you

You will be someone who loves delivering products, solving customer problems and creating business value. We're looking for a Product Owner who measures success by customer impact, business outcomes and features delivered to customers, not by the number of meetings attended or stories written. You'll be comfortable making decisions, leveraging AI tools to increase productivity, and working closely with engineers to turn ideas into customer-facing features.

You will also have;

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar digital product role in an Agile environment.

  • 5+ years' experience in Product Ownership, Product Management or a similar product leadership role.

  • Strong eCommerce domain knowledge and understanding of systems such as online storefronts, search, payments, inventory, fulfilment and order management.

  • A delivery-focused mindset with a demonstrated track record of taking products and features from idea to launch.

  • Strong product thinking and the ability to identify opportunities that improve customer experience and business outcomes.

  • Experience working closely with software engineering teams and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.

  • Practical experience using AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot) to improve productivity, analysis, documentation, decision-making or product delivery.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience with Agile delivery frameworks and backlog management tools such as Jira.

  • Understanding of web and mobile best practices, including performance, accessibility, usability and SEO.

  • Experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento) is highly regarded

This opportunity will provide:

  • Salary packaging and novated leasing options for eligible employees.
  • Professional development and career progression.
  • Company paid parental leave for eligible employees.
  • Access to Fitness Passport.
  • Experience working with an Iconic Australian Brand with global success in NZ, Asia, and Europe.
  • A supportive team environment that celebrates diversity and promotes a healthy work and family life balance.
  • Opportunities to make discounted purchases on a great range of products and services.
