About the role  

Reporting to the Corporate Compliance Officer and based onsite at our Homebush West corporate office, you’ll help advance Harvey Norman’s environmental and social responsibility goals by coordinating internal and external resources to manage ESG reporting data, address and resolve data gaps, liaise with data stewards and service providers, and maintain the ESG reporting system.  

 You will

  • Administer the ESG management platform, including user access, roles, and permissions.
  • Maintain system workflows, dashboards, and reporting templates.
  • Identify and communicate business changes (e.g. new sites, closures, supplier updates) to the managed services provider for system updates.
  • Support the preparation of sustainability reports, including mandatory disclosures such as ASRS and CSRD.
  • Oversee the collection, validation, and consolidation of ESG data from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to internal users, acting as the go-to expert for ESG system usage and reporting processes.
  • Support ESG compliance by identifying reporting requirements and assisting with audits and assurance processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline ESG data processes and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Work with the managed services provider and Global Sustainability Reporting Manager to generate reports, track data collection progress, and gather information for ESG reporting.
  • Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting activities, including the production of the annual reports required under the various mandatory reporting regimes Harvey Norman report under.

About you  

You will bring experience in data reporting, management or system administration – ideally with ESG data – and preferably hold tertiary qualifications in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

You will also have;

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with ESG data platforms – not mandatory. 
  • A general understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)
  • An analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
