About the role  

Reporting to the Executive General Manager and based on-site at the Corporate Homebush West Office, you will be responsible for developing strategic objectives and optimisation of financial plans across multiple geographies for the Personal Computer Technology area.  Through clear, data-driven insights and recommendations, you will support General Managers, Merchant teams, and Business Development Managers to maximise financial outcomes from alliance programs through the PC and silicon partners.

You will play a key role in ensuring alignment between global alliance initiatives and local execution, supporting sustainable growth, revenue optimisation, and consistency across markets.

This role will involve international travel.

You will;

• Prepare commercial plans and recommendations for the Merchant teams across each computer division.
• Develop commercial scenarios that provide clear choice points for Merchant teams to create additional income streams.
• Create and maintain standardised templates with agreed execution timelines, supporting scenario development covering total unit volumes, MSS targets, and average selling price.
• Prepare monthly reports on partnership funding, market insight and forecast outcomes.
• Ensure all activities align with the Harvey Norman operating model and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
• Complete annual regulatory and Compliance staff training.
• Visit Franchisee locations regularly to gather insights and provide recommendations back to the General Managers of relevant locations.

About You

You are a commercially minded professional with proven experience managing categories, partners or supplier relationships in a complex, fast‑moving environment. You bring a strong blend of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution to deliver clear, measurable business outcomes.

You will also have;

• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders at all levels of the business.
• Effective presentation skills, with the ability to engage and present to senior leaders and C‑suite executives.
• Experience in PC or IT category management, or strong senior level exposure to the retail PC landscape.
• Ability to partner effectively with the business to ensure outcomes align with business needs and objectives.
• Understanding of the full product lifecycle, including experience working with silicon partners, hardware vendors, and OEMs within the technology sector.
• Experience operating in large, complex retail environments with established governance and operating standards.
• Working knowledge of consumer law and regulatory requirements, with the ability to ensure compliance across all activities.
