About the role
Harvey Norman’s IT Department delivers innovative solutions that support the strategic objectives of the business. You will join a supportive and highly experienced team within a large, retail‑focused IT environment, gaining exposure to enterprise‑level technologies and opportunities to further develop your skills.
Reporting to the Testing Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening our integration testing capability across critical platforms and interfaces.
You will;
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for integration flows across IBM ACE, Sterling B2B Integrator, and API platforms.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across APIs, B2B transactions, and integration flows.
- Validate message transformations and mappings (XML/JSON).
- Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues across platforms and protocols.
- Maintain and continuously improve integration test coverage, including automation.
- Build and maintain automated API/regression tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain test documentation and defect reporting (e.g., JIRA).
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts on integration requirements and delivery outcomes.
- Support deployment validation, UAT, and production releases.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base to support cross-skilling within the testing team.
About you
You’re an integration-focused test analyst with proven experience testing APIs and message-based integrations. You’re comfortable in agile delivery environments, can troubleshoot issues across multiple systems, and you take initiative to improve processes, documentation, and capability across the team.
You will also have;
- Strong integration testing experience (API).
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
- Solid technical ability including scripting/coding exposure (e.g., Java, JavaScript, C#, VB) and strong SQL skills.
- A proactive mindset—able to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong documentation skills and experience creating knowledge base / training material.
- The ability to perform well under pressure.
Require Technical Skills
- IBM ACE / IIB testing experience.
- IBM Sterling B2B Integrator experience (including EDI standards and data mapping).
- Integration patterns and protocols: MQ, HTTP, SFTP, FTP, REST, SOAP.
- Data and API formats/specs: XML, JSON, XSD, WSDL, XPath, Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Test automation experience (e.g., RestAssured, Java/JavaScript frameworks).
- CI/CD exposure: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git.
- Database validation experience: DB2 and SQL Server.
