About the Role

Based at Harvey Norman’s Corporate Office and reporting to the Test Manager, this is a hands-on technical testing role where you’ll work across retail applications, APIs and integrated enterprise systems. You’ll combine exploratory testing, automation and AI-assisted test design to improve test coverage and help ensure our technology is ready for release.

You will:

• Plan and execute functional, integration, API and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Use AI tools to generate and refine test cases, identify coverage gaps and support automation development.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate data across integrated systems.
• Develop test scenarios and test cases from requirements and user stories.
• Manage defects and test assets using Jira and Zephyr.
• Troubleshoot test environments, integration issues and failed or flaky automated tests.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, project teams and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Provide clear reporting on test progress, coverage, defects, risks and release readiness.
• Support User Acceptance Testing and production releases.

About You

You will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Test Analyst testing complex applications and integrations.
• 5+ years’ hands-on test automation experience, with strong TypeScript coding skills.
• Strong experience with Playwright or a comparable TypeScript-based automation framework.
• Practical experience with API testing, SQL, Git, debugging and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated experience using AI to generate and refine test cases, including validating AI-generated outputs against requirements.
• Strong knowledge of risk-based, exploratory, boundary, negative and integration testing.
• Experience with Jira and Zephyr, or similar testing tools.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently and take ownership of testing outcomes.

ISTQB Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst certification, or a comparable qualification, will be highly regarded.

Retail technology experience across areas such as eCommerce, point of sale, inventory, pricing and promotions, payments, order fulfilment or returns would also be advantageous.
