Reporting to the Digital Delivery Manager we are seeking a Magento PHP Developer to join our digital development team.

As a Magento PHP Developer you will play an integral within the team, you will be energetic and be part of a highly collaborative environment finding satisfaction and purpose in building scalable, high-performing and innovative eCommerce platforms using modern technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to design and develop new application features using best practice coding standards and techniques whilst you work across our Magento 2 eCommerce platform building secure, responsive, accessible, user-friendly features

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build, enhance, extend and maintain our eCommerce shopping cart, checkout and payment experience
  • Work with various payment methods (ie. Afterpay, Zip, etc)
  • Build, extend and maintain our various APIs (ie. GraphQL, REST and SOAP)
  • Work in a cross-functional Agile team, collaborating with business stakeholders, to plan and design optimal user experiences
  • Write and maintain unit tests and implement other improvements to our quality assurance practices
  • Assess new technologies and integration partners

About You:

  • 5 years + experience as a PHP developer including two years’ experience with Magento 2
  • Knowledge of PHP, Linux, MySQL, JavaScript
  • Strong experience building, extending and maintaining Magento 2
  • Strong experience implementing various payment gateways
  • Hands on experience in utilising various APIs including GraphQL, REST and SOAP
  • Experience with both cloud services such as Azure and container environments such as Docker would be helpful
  • Good understanding of web and mobile standards, search optimisation best practices, performance, accessibility and usability considerations
  • Good collaboration and communications skills
